Privacy Policy

Cubby Truth, a brand of Straight Truth Press LLC, is committed to protecting the privacy of children and families. This policy explains how we handle information when you visit cubbytruth.com or play any of our Cubby Truth games.

The short version

We do not collect any personal information.
We do not track you.
We do not show ads.
We do not use third-party analytics.
Game progress saves only on your own device.
All Cubby Truth games are free, with no in-app purchases.

1. No personal information collected

We do not ask for, collect, or store any personal information about you or your children. We do not require accounts, logins, or sign-ups to use our games. We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, location data, or any other identifying details.

2. Local storage on your device

Cubby's ABCs and other Cubby Truth games save your child's game progress (stickers earned, levels reached, sound and music preferences) on the device itself, using your browser's local storage in the web version or the app's local data in the native app store version. This data stays only on your device. We never see it, and we have no way to access it.

You can clear this data at any time through the Reset Progress button in our Parent Settings panel, by clearing your browser's site data, or by uninstalling the app.

3. No cookies or tracking

We do not use cookies for advertising, analytics, or tracking. We do not install third-party trackers, analytics scripts, advertising networks, social media pixels, or fingerprinting tools.

4. No advertisements

Cubby Truth games and the cubbytruth.com website display no advertisements of any kind. No banner ads, no video ads, no rewarded ads, no sponsored content.

5. No in-app purchases

Our games are completely free. There are no in-app purchases, paid unlocks, or premium upgrades. We make no money from the games themselves.

6. Server logs

The native app store versions of all Cubby Truth games (Cubby's ABCs, Cubby's Colors, and any future titles such as Cubby's Numbers and Cubby's Shapes) make no network requests at all after installation. All audio, images, and code are bundled into each app and run locally on your device.

The web-playable version of Cubby's ABCs is hosted by Netlify. Our web hosts (HostGator for cubbytruth.com, Netlify for cubbys-abcs.netlify.app) may keep standard server logs containing IP addresses, request timestamps, and user agent strings for security and operational purposes such as protecting against abuse. These logs are managed by the hosting providers under their own privacy policies. We do not access them for marketing.

7. Children under 13 (COPPA)

Cubby Truth games are designed for children of all ages, including those under 13. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we are fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not require parental consent forms because there is no personal data being collected that would require consent.

8. Third-party services we use

Our games and website use a small number of trusted third-party services. We do not share user data with any of them, because we do not collect user data to share.

Google Fonts: serves the typography on the cubbytruth.com website. Native app versions bundle their own fonts and never contact Google Fonts at runtime.
Google Cloud Text-to-Speech: we used this service offline, on our own development machine, to pre-generate the warm voice audio files that ship inside our games. No live data is ever sent to Google when you or your child plays.
Netlify: hosts the web-playable version of the game at cubbys-abcs.netlify.app.
HostGator: hosts cubbytruth.com.
Apple App Store, Google Play, and Amazon Appstore: distribute the native app versions of our games. They operate under their own privacy policies.

9. App store distribution

When any Cubby Truth game (currently Cubby's ABCs and Cubby's Colors, with Cubby's Numbers and Cubby's Shapes planned) is installed from the Apple App Store, Google Play, or the Amazon Appstore, the underlying app behaves exactly the same way: no data collection, no advertising, no tracking, no in-app purchases, no network requests after installation.

The app stores themselves may collect standard installation, download, crash, and review information from users under their own privacy policies, separate from anything we do. This is the same for every app on those stores and is handled entirely by Apple, Google, and Amazon respectively.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and announce significant changes on cubbytruth.com. Your continued use of the site or games after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
